Hello. I’d like to introduce myself. I am Brian Cronin and, as of yesterday, I am Hot Studio’s Director of Program Planning.

I am really excited to join Hot, and having been a great admirer of their work, I take great pleasure in the opportunity to contribute to the team that has produced such great work over the past 10+ years. This is a particularly exciting time to join the Hot team with the launch of the Zinio iPad app and the recent arrivals of Chris Jones, Matt Carlson and Sarah Nelson. There is certainly a buzz in the air. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

A little about me

For the past 3 and half years I have been at Adaptive Path where I delivered 18 projects, including Adaptive Path’s largest and most conceptual work. Including:

  • The interface and desktop manager application for a touchscreen e-ink reader
  • A concept prototype for a mobile operating system for a large mobile handset manufacturer
  • Mobile and web learning platforms
  • Financial management web applications

In addition to delivering projects, I coordinated Adaptive Path’s sustainable design practice and programs to fulfill the tenets of the Designer’s Accord, I have presented at MX and UX Week, and I was program chair for Adaptive Path’s first project management event, “Managing Design Projects,” which was hailed by attendee Kia Zokaie, PMP, as “more practical project management knowledge than a PMP.”

Prior to Adaptive Path I had stays as Managing Principal of a small design consulting agency, a Manager in a large systems integrator, and Executive Producer of Web 1.0 Studio. For more of these exciting details you can check out my profile on LinkedIn. You can also follow me on Twitter.

My past clients include: American Psychological Association, BearingPoint, Brocade, Cisco Systems, E.piphany, Harvard Business Review, HGTV, HP, Kana, Linden Labs, Motorola, New York Life, Nissan North America, Nokia, Ogilvy & Mather, Patient Infosystems, PayCycle, Plastic Logic, Plumtree Software, Silicon Valley Bank, Smart.fm, Ubisoft, The Vanguard Group, VERITAS Software and Verizon Communications.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to say hello!
