Yesterday, we hosted Scott Berkun in our San Francisco offices. Scott’s a fantastic public speaker and writer. I’ve enjoyed Scott’s blog and his previous book “The Myths of Innovation.” He was here on his San Francisco book tour to promote his new book “Confessions of a Public Speaker.”
As designers, we often need to speak publicly: when sharing work with clients, speaking at conferences, pitching work, talking to peers in our own organizations. Scott’s new book is a practical how-to guide for public speakers, based on his own experiences and research he’s done into cognitive factors. I’ve already found it enormously useful. Check it out!
